Public Safety Pride Alliance

The mission of the Public Safety Pride Alliance is to promote understanding between the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community and Public Safety organizations in Utah. Our goals are twofold; to ensure equal treatment of LGBTQ people by Public Safety organizations and to maintain open communications between the Public Safety organizations and the LGBTQ community.

We work to educate the community to help them live and work in a safe environment and we provide training to the public safety community (police and fire) on issues of importance to the LGBTQ community. We offer ourselves as a liaison between the LGBTQ community and public safety community as it pertains to conflicts or assistance on matters of importance to either community.

The Public Safety Pride Alliance meets monthly on the 2nd Tuesday at 6 PM at the Utah Pride Center's Middle Meeting Room. This meeting is open to the public.
