LGBTQ 101
Tuesday, November 29th 9am – 12pm
This training provides a basic introduction to issues relevant to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) people. This training focuses on developing professional competence and includes: basic terminology and language, risks to LGBTQ individuals, and practical suggestions for serving LGBTQ people.
Transgender 201
Tuesday, December 20th 9am – 12pm
This training covers key issues for transgender and gender variant individuals such as gender development and steps for those who are in the process of transitioning. Prerequisite: LGBTQ 101
