The Utah Pride National Coming Out Day Brunch is a celebration of individual and family journeys as well as an opportunity to raise awareness around the needs associated with this process.
The keynote speaker for this year's event will be John Kinnear and author of the Ask Your Dad Blog, which recently drew the attention of the community in Utah and the nation for his post titled "Dear Hypothetically Gay Son". It has since been reprinted and linked on hundreds of websites, translated into multiple languages, and viewed over a million times. Much to his wife's delight, his post even caught the attention of Ellen Degeneres! John lives in Sandy, Utah with his wife and two-year-old daughter. Their first son will be arriving in November.
