Night of Noise
The time has come to BREAK the silence and come together in solidarity to show that we are NOT invisible! The Night of Noise is a paramount event as we kick-off the weekend of Queer Prom and the Youth Empowerment Summit.
We are inviting and encouraging all queer youth and their allies to gather at the TINT to share what the Day of Silence means to them and speak to their experiences as resilient and powerful queer kids.
After we make some noise, we get down to business with our Queer Prom Monarch Talent Show! Young, queer leaders will bring their passion and talents to our humble stage as they vie for the title of Queer Prom Monarch.
Two winners will be announced the night of Queer Prom and will rep for their community- and themselves. Get into it! ♥
And we will have delish goodies on hand! You betta be there!
After our show, the U OF U will be having their own Night of Noise at Sugar Space starting at 9:30 pm. Let's show up and show out!
Schedule for Night of Noise:

SALT LAKE CITY: Utah Pride is hosting the 2012 Queer Prom on Saturday, April 21st from 8pm to midnight at the Salt Lake City Public Library. This event gives queer youth and young allies from across the state of Utah to come together and celebrate themselves and those they love.
This year the theme of Queer Prom is Indestructible. This is a celebration of the survival, continuing love and general resilience of queer youth. It is not a promise that things will get better, but a humble affirmation that we are capable of healing and coming back stronger than we were before.
Tickets are available in advance at the Utah Pride Center, both in the administrative offices and in the Youth Center, for $5. Tickets will also be available at the door for $10.
Queer Prom will feature a live DJ, free HIV testing from the Prevention Project and free food. A special thank you to SLUG Magazine for helping make this event possible.
Utah Pride is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to be a catalyst for building and celebrating the strength, equality, dignity and self-determination of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community throughout Utah. UP is committed to excellence in execution and the continuing improvement of all programs, services, education and advocacy.
