The annual Center Golf Classic has the reputation of being the most fun you can have while raising money for a fantastic cause! Now in its eighth year, the tournament attracts an impressive list of who’s who in the GLBT community and many wonderful allies – including television personalities, politicians, and golfers of all ability levels.

Next Golf Classic comes to you on August 24, 2008.

Held annually on October 11th (National Coming Out Day), this fundraising event brings community members together to celebrate and honor the process of coming out. All proceeds support the programs and services of the Utah Pride Center.

Usually held in late April, Queer Prom invites GLBT and allied youth, 14 to 20 years, to enjoy an evening of dancing and celebration. With more than 600 youth in attendance, the event is not to be missed.

In 2008, Queer Prom: The Origin of Love will be held on April 26 at the Downtown Salt Lake Public Library.

Queer Prom 2008 The Origin of Love Essay Contest- Write a 1200 word essay about the Origin of Love and what that means to you and you could win 2 tickets for Queer Prom, dinner for two at Stoneground Pizza, a new outfit for the prom by Black Chandelier, a salon package by Blitz Salon which includes a haircut, and gift cards for Nobrow Coffee. All of these wonderful prizes were donated by the best magazine in town Salt Lake Under Ground (SLUG Magazine) The deadline is March 15, 2008. SLUG Magazine and the Utah Pride Center will read all the submissions and they will announce the winners on March 30.
